The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child has an orthodontic evaluation no later than age 7! This allows Dr. Johnson to identify any issues before they become a larger problem.
The Rising Star Kids’ Club is accepting new members ages 5-12 and includes:

Dr. Johnson and his staff have been amazing! My son had an expander put in and a retainer made. He is now in a waiting period for braces until his adult teeth come in before getting braces. We’ve had to come in every 6 months for a check-in to see when his teeth are ready. My son is always excited to go in (mostly because he can play video games in the waiting room and gets an ice cream treat on the way out). I feel that Dr. Johnson has never pushed something on us that my son doesn’t need. I will definitely bring my younger son to Dr. Johnson when he’s old enough to start the braces process. Heck! I’m even considering getting braces for myself!Update-my son finished his braces treatment. We’re really happy with the results! We’ll definitely be back when it’s time for the youngest kid to get braces.

What if my child is not 7 years old yet?
If your child is not 7 years old yet, they can still sign up to be in the Rising Star Kids’ Club! They will receive a Scholastic* book from our office every year for their birthday and we’ll let you know when it’s time to bring them in for their initial appointment!
What if my child’s teeth are developing normally?
We’ll still monitor how your child’s teeth and bite are developing to make sure that everything stays on track and to let you know if any issues are developing.
What if my child’s teeth are not developing normally?
Dr. Johnson and his treatment coordinator will let you know if there are any issues so that we can create a game plan.
What is the Rising Star Kids’ Club?
Rising Star Kids’ Club is a complimentary program for all kids starting at age 5. This program allows us to track your child’s jaw growth and tooth development.
